We have been driving in Texas for roughly 7 hours now. There's not much to see so it drags on. Our big excitement was when Sarah got pulled over for doing 78 in a 70 (all of TX is a 70 or less). We were very contrite and she got off with a warning. She has since mastered the use of the cruise control!
Outside the town of Iowa City, we saw a couple herds? of camels. That was unexpected.
We should arrive in Austin late this evening. This is our longest driving day. I'm glad we set 2 nights in Austin. We need the time to stretch out.
